Crackerbloom is dedicated to my mom. A small monument to all the things I appreciate about her. She somehow manages to navigate being both the sweetest, most patient, and wisest person I know, while at the same time being tough as nails, hardworking, and extremely dedicated to her family and her ideals. The name itself comes from a combination of her childhood nickname and her love for flowers.
The concept for Crackerbloom is my own, but was born from my love for playing word games and puzzles with her, and the opportunities for conversation that flow from that. My hope is that this game gives people a chance to connect with people they love, without demanding all of their attention be devoted to the app itself.
Add your friends, start a game, and choose who you want to play with. Guess the word or phrase, and wait to see what everyone else has guessed before trying again. You have up to 24 hours to make each guess, so there's no need for the game to have your attention all day. If you happen to miss a turn, you simply make a guess on the next turn. When the word or phrase is guessed and the round is finished, the winner starts the next round, and the fun never stops.
Have an idea for a word or phrase that you think your friends would like to guess? Just enter a custom word or phrase at the beginning of the round, and watch your friends figure you out. This is a perfect opportunity for an inside joke, a silly nickname, or whatever you think they will enjoy.
